aka exsample plays music as a club DJ and sound artist since 1991. He studied photography and new media at the HGB Leipzig in Germany and is working as a freelance visual designer and photographer (see his website EXSAMPLE.ORG for more details).

In 2000 he started a vinyl record series with endless loops called compact/loops. This series was the inspiration for the projects compact/box he co-founded with Oliver B. Rubli in 2003.

played music as a club DJ since 1986 and became an award winning music director while working for numerous radio projects. He co-founded the art galleries compact/space Berlin (2003) and Los Angeles (2004) where he curated various shows. He also has over 16 years experience in the fields of new media, interaction design and communication in whitch he worked as an consultant and designer.

He designed the compact/box 1.0 and 2.0 in 2006 and 2007. Together with Mauren Brodbeck he also designed an interactive compact/box installation with visuals.

has been working mainly with the medium of photography and cinematography since the mid-nineties. She studied and worked in the movie business as a director and producer of short films, documentaries and advertising films, for which she received three important awards. She obtained a degree in photography and imaging at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and a film production certificate at the Vancouver Film School in Vancouver, BC.

She designs the supporting video visuals since the compact/box version 2.0 in 2007.
